The coral is a gemstone which is mined from the coral reefs. This coral comes in many variety of colours out of which the Red and the Sindoori coral is used as a remedial gem for Mars. Sindoori means one having Orangish Red colour. Emerald is mined as a stone which is then polished and cut into gemstone. It has green colour and is used as a remedial gem for Mercury. According to Jyotish rules Mars and Mercury are enemic to each other. They tend to reduce each other's strengths. In any given horoscope if Mars is a functional benefic then the Mercury will be a functional malefic. Similarily, where Mercury is a benefic Mars becomes a malefic. These are the two reasons one can not wear gemstones for Mars and Mercury together. The result will be almost zero as both of them would be nullifying each other's effects. The best way is to consult a good Jyotishi to find out which gemstone you should wear. But, never wear Sindoori coral and Emerald together.
