Today Mercury enters Aquarius (Kumbh). The planets Venus, Sun and Jupiter are already in transit in Aquarius. Jupiter is combust due to its nearness to Sun in degrees. As Mercury joins this grouping of the three planets a strong Pravajya Yoga is formed. A Pravajya yoga is formed when more than three planets group together in a sign. The term 'Pravajya' means 'to renunciate' or one who has taken renunciation or 'Sanyas'. This yoga does not mean that the native would be a Sanyasi but that the native would have the desires and virtues of a Sanyasi. This yoga is also a sure shot indicator of greatness and fame. Many famous people have had this yoga in their horoscopes. There can be a Pravajya yoga involving the malefic planets like Mars, Rahu and Saturn. But, this time all three benefic planets: Jupiter, Venus and Mercury are involved with Sun in forming this yoga. A person born in this yoga will have heightened spiritual inclinations in life along with having an extremely good and disciplined nature. Further minor differences of nature will depend on the placement of this yoga in the horoscope. For the common man this yoga brings some relief from the stress of life. Although Mars is still in Cancer and its highly harmful influences are being felt by all, this Pravajya yoga will act as a buffer to Mars' negativity. The governments and authorities will show some better sense in handling the economic crisis. The judicial authorities will take some landmark decisions for the good of the common man. But, till the time that Mars is in transit in Cancer nothing substantial will be done to alleviate the ongoing economic problems all over the world. The debilitated Mars has killed the commonsense of the ruling powers in all nations. They are looking at short term selfish goals only. This Pravajya yoga will end when Venus moves to Pisces on 2nd March 2010.
