From October 2009 to May 2010, Mars was in prolonged transit in Cancer (Karka), bringing much turbulent volatility to this watery sign. The heat of Mars was low but its effect on Cancer was for too long a period. Cancer born people were feeling the uneasiness and restlessness which was hampering their spiritual and material progresses. But, as Venus moves to Cancer today, the Cancer born will find solace and peace combined with good material, social and spiritual gains.

Venus will stay in Cancer from 9th June 2010 to 5th July 2010. Shukra's previous transit in Karka was from 21st August 2009 to 15th September 2009. Its next transit in Cancer will be from 23rd July 2011 to 17th August 2011.
