Rahu and Ketu always move in a retrograde motion, which means that they leave a sign through its first degree and enter the sign ahead of it through its last degree. This month, on 6th June 2011, Rahu left Sagittarius (Dhanu) to enter the 30th Degree of Scorpio (Vrishchik) and Ketu has similarly left Gemini (Mithun) to enter Taurus (Vrishabh). These two perpetually and exactly samsaptak planets will stay in these new signs for next eighteen months, till 23rd December 2012.

The previous transit of Rahu was in Vrishchik and Ketu in Vrishabh was from 30th October 1992 to 19th May 1994. The next similar transit will be from 11th January 2030 to 31st July 2031.

For India this change of Rahu and Ketu mark a beginning of a three year period of internal strife, political unrest and economic problems. In India's horoscope Rahu is in Taurus and Ketu is in Scorpio. This has been the primary reason for the slow growth of Indian economy and the innumerable financial and political problems in India. With this change of Rahu-Ketu signs this month, these two shadowy planets come again in the 1-7 axis, affecting the ascendant and the seventh house of India's horoscope.

Coinciding with this change of signs some great political upheavel and unrest, including the Baba Ramdev fast and lathi-charge incident of 5th June 2011, have happened. Such incidents are just a glimpse of what is going to happen in next 18 months in India. The worst will come in months of September and October 2011. The ruling party in India will lose support from its allies and it will become very difficult for it to save its public image as a party worthy enough to rule India.

On the evening of 4th June 2011, Venus had entered Taurus and had come into the ascendant in India's horoscope and on 12th June Mars too will join Venus in Taurus. This Mars-Venus-Ketu yuti in Vrishabh will give rise to some serious backbiting, backstabbing, seriously rumour mongering, allegations and the worst kind of lowest level of political activity in the politics in India.

The incidents which will happen in this transit of Rahu in Vrishchik and Ketu in Vrishabh will pave way for the serious economic, social and political problems which India is going to face in 2013 when many long hidden secrets will come out in the open, some important political leaders who are in power today will leave the country and the situation will be ripe for riots and genocide.

For the rest of the world, USA will come out of its political and financial crisis during this transit of Rahu in Vrishchik and Ketu in Vrishabh. The governments in most of the nations hit by recession will begin to give more importance to small, useful spending on short term projects than on big projects which involve mobilization of large amounts of money and resources.

The situation in Iraq and Iran will improve but a foundation for unrest in other nations will be laid. All these will lead to the great unrest which is going to happen in 2013. It is not 2012 but 2013 which is going to be a very very bad year for mankind.
