Today, on 18th May 2025, the shadowy planet Rahu is entering the sign of Aquarius or Kumbh, as it is called in Jyotish. Ketu, the other end and the tail of Rahu, is entering Leo, also called Simha in Jyotish. Rahu is exiting Meen Rashi and Ketu is leaving Kanya rashi after a period of around eighteen and half months. Rahu-Ketu will transit in this Aquarius-Leo axis till 5th December 2026. These two shadow planets are always in retrograde motion. They enter a sign through its last degree, the 30th degree, and leave through the first degree.

Brihaspati moves from Vrishabh rashi to Mithun rashi on 14th May 2025. Jupiter will transit in Gemini till 2nd June 2026 with a small stay in Cancer from 18th October 2025 to 5th December 2025. Saturn is already in Pisces and Rahu- Ketu are moving to Kumbh-Simha placement on 18th May 2025. These planets will remain in these new placements only during this 2025-26 transit of Guru in Mithun. Other grahas will keep moving to different signs during this period. Mithun is an air-sign and has a dual-nature. Jupiter has caused a lot of disturbance and instability whenever it has transited in Gemini.
Jupiter has a 12 year cycle and it comes back to the same sign after a gap of approximately twelve years. The last time Guru was in Mithun rashi was from 31st May 2013 to 19th June 2014. The next gochar of Brihaspati in Mithun rashi, after this 2025-26 transit will be in 2036, 2037 and 2038 in three parts-

Shani will enter Meen Rashi on 29th March 2025. Saturn has been in Aquarius since 17th January 2023. It will join Rahu, Surya, Budh and Shukra in Meen on 29th March 2025, Saturday. On 29th March, it is New Moon and there is a solar eclipse too. The combination of Sun, Moon, Mercury, Rahu, Saturn and Venus in Meen Rashi on 29th March, when Saturn shifts, is creating quite a powerful negative energy which has started affecting everyone one week before this change in Shani's Rashi and this will continue till 14th April 2025.
Rahu has already been in Pisces since 30th October 2023 and it will leave this watery sign on 18th May 2025. Surya will leave Pisces on 14th April 2025. Mercury will shift to Aries on 7th May 2025. Venus will be with Saturn in Meen Rashi till 31st May 2025 when it shifts to Mesh Rashi. In Meen Rashi, the combination of Rahu, Saturn and Venus was last seen in 1969 from 26th January to 4th March. Jupiter will shift from Taurus to Gemini on 14th May 2025 and Rahu- Ketu will shift to Kumbh-Simha on 18th May 2025. The actual effects of Saturn in Pisces will be felt only after that Rahu-Ketu shift.

Jupiter will exit Aries and enter Taurus on 1st May 2024. Brihaspati's transit in the fire-sign, Mesh, ends and its subsequent transit in the earth-sign, Vrishabh, begins on 1st May 2024. This benevolent planet will stay in Vrishabh rashi till 14th May 2025. This movement of Brihaspati in this fixed-sign will affect a few Rashis in positive ways, while generating some bad results for some other Signs.
Jupiter covers all twelve Rashis in around 12 years. During this 2024-25 transit in Taurus, Saturn will be in Aquarius only for most part of this period, i.e. till 29th March 2025. Rahu- Ketu will be in the Pisces-Virgo axis only till 18th May 2025. But, as Jupiter moves to Taurus, it becomes free from the 3rd drishti of Shani and, finally, will be able to generate its characteristic positive effects which it was unable to do in Aries due to this negative aspect of Saturn.

On 30th October 2023, Rahu will leave Mesh rashi and will enter Meen rashi, and, Ketu will leave Tula to enter Kanya rashi. After 18 years, Rahu-Ketu will be again in this Meen-Kanya placement. The transit of these two mysterious shadow planets in Aries-Libra axis has not been comfortable for most people. Let's see what changes this new transit of Rahu and Ketu will bring for all of us.
Rahu and Ketu will transit in this Pisces-Kanya position from 30th October 2023 to 18th May 2025. The last time these two non-physical shadow planets were in similar transit was from 25th March 2005 to 12th October 2006.
