Mars will enter Cancer on 5th October 2009.

This year this fiery planet will stay in Cancer, its sign of debilitation, for around eight months. It will go retrograde in Cancer and then it will move straight again all the while staying in Cancer.

Mars goes retrograde every two years. Last time it was retrograde in Gemini and stayed there from September 2007 to April 2008. This year it will be staying for this prolonged period in Cancer.

Cancer is the sign where Mars shows its most negative of effects. The general effect on human mind will be quite bad and a lot of caution is advised to all.
