Why are Uranus, neptune and pluto not given much importance in jyotish?

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are counted as the outer planets in Jyotish. They are called so because their orbits lie outside the orbits of Saturn

As Jyotish or any other school of astrology developed the emphasis of study was on the basis of observation of the seven Jyotish planets which can be seen through naked eye. The telescope was invented much later and these outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were discovered only after the invention of the telescope.

As centuries of observations and studies by numerous jyotishis and astrologers is required before any new planet and its importance is noted down in Jyotish, the outer three planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, are not given much importance in Jyotish calculations and predictions.

These planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto have become favorites of the astrologers in the west. But, Jyotish still relies on the time tested knowledge of the basic seven naked eye visible planets.
