Ajmer

Ajmer is a town in the state of Rajasthan in India. It is the nearest railway station to the holy city of Pushkar. Ajmer is of great historical importance. The famous Dargah of Khwaza Moinuddin Chisti is in Ajmer too.

Ashwini is the first Nakshatra among the total twenty seven Nakshatras. Its four charans form the first part of the Sign of Aries (Mesh). This Nakshatra is ruled by Ketu.

Astrology

Astrology comes from Astra(stars)+ Logy(study) meaning study of stars. It started as study of stars but developed over thousands or years into a study of correlation between movment of heavenly bodies in sky and the life on earth. It is a very popular and vast science.
Astronomy

Astronomy is the study of heavenly bodies in outer space. The stars, planets and satellites are studied and their movements are graphed. Telescopes and other instruments are used for this purpose. On the basis of the study of the movement of the heavenly bodies the almanacs and ephemeris are made. Astrology uses the astronomical data to calculate horoscopes. These horoscopes are then used to predict the future and to analyse other aspects of life.
